After spending a couple of decades travelling most parts of the world, we found ourselves returning by choice to Bali again and again. Eventually, we decided to build a villa on Bali's north coast as it meets our needs of solitude and serenity, supported by Balinese manners and hospitality. Equally, we needed good infrastructure and communications - such as frequent international flights and the Internet - but moreover we desired an excellent climate  and a beach location! First we built Puri Segara, our 4 bedroom villa, then we decided to buy the land next to us and build an intimate private villa for 2 or a couple with kids, this is the one listed here. The villa construction was completed in December 2012. The villa was named after all the Kingfisher birds in the vicinity.

We are attracted by Balinese culture and simplicity, both in architectural design and style of living. This villa is designed with ourdoor living in mind so you are free to enjoy the moderate climate. It accommodates 2 guests in one large double bedroom, children could also share the bedroom with their parents by using the sofa bed/s. The bedroom has air-conditioning and en-suite bathroom and walk-in dressing room. The bedroom enjoys an impressive open vista of the sea.  The four-poster bed also has a mosquito-net in case you prefer to open the large balcony doors to let in the natural sea breeze as an alternative to the air-conditioning.

The villa has a beautiful tropical garden. A large open plan lounge and terrace with a relaxing view through the garden to the Bali Sea and is equipped with 2 x 3 seater settees. There is a large open plan fully equipped kitchen. A swimming pool, measuring 6m x 4m allows you to cool off and is equipped with easy-entry steps and seating in the corners.

Outside living is enhanced by sun loungers and dining table on the patio. You will be able to receive free wireless internet.  This villa is perfect to escape into tranquil peace.

If required at no extra cost our housekeeper will be happy to wash, clean, cook and shop for you during her working hours of 9am - 6pm, 6 days a week. A gardener tends to the garden and a security guard will keep an eye on the villa at night.

Our villa is magnificently situated on a quiet stretch of beach in Tangguwisia. The villa is surrounded by vineyards and rice fields with a unique view of the mountains of the North. The villa is about 15 minutes drive from Lovina and 5 minutes from Seririt.

Here in the North there are still many traditional plantations, waterfalls, temples and villages that perform various trades. Walks in the vicinity of the villa along the beach and beside the fields and temples give many opportunities for the avid photographer and allows you a window on the life of the still traditional ways of this unspoiled area of Bali. You will often see personal ceremonies being conducted on the beach and at the local temple as well as larger village ceremonies.

There are many activities to keep you amused during your stay. Early in the morning, jump on a local boat from our beach to visit the dolphins (sometimes you can see them from the villa).  Visit waterfalls, hot springs and temples. Golf is 45 minutes away as is the botanical garden. Come horse riding with me in the hills above Lovina. Tennis is 25 minutes away. The best diving and snorkelling is at Menjangen Island which can be organised with a local dive centre. Mountain biking and trekking can also be easily arranged. A massage therapist and yoga teacher can visit the villa. Lovina is the place for the best restaurants in North Bali.

I will provide you with all the help you need to make your stay as peaceful or as active as you would like :) This villa will subtly relax and soothe your soul.
